Auberge & Spa Beaux-Rêves

This oasis is situated in Ste-Adele in the Laurentians. Despite being on a busy road, the noise is cancelled out by the surroundings. They have a small restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch but you have to go to town for dinner.

The Nordic spa and baths are set in a natural setting. They incorporate the side of the mountain and the river bank. The pools are surrounded by stones/rocks to give them a more natural look.

They offer a range of services, packages and promotions year round. My husband and I opted for a package that offered a deluxe room with a beautiful large balcony and a double hammock, overlooking the river, a fireplace and a large bathtub. It was so nice to relax to the sound of the 'rivière aux Mulets'. We went in August, so we were able to sit in the river and enjoy the water rushing over us. We also had a 60 minute massage. Both our therapists were wonderful. Our package included a fixed menu at one of the local restaurants which was excellent. Rooms are nice but rustic. The massage rooms offer a view of the river.

There are many outdoor activities nearby (horse back riding, hiking, dog sledding, etc.). We hiked at the Doncaster River Park. On the way to the park there is a shopping mall with a grocery store, SAQ and others We bought food and drinks to make a nice picnic. They have different paths for different levels of ability, which reminded me of my days in Germany. There is an entry fee to the park if it's not part of a package.
